My husband had his liver transplant in Oct 2009, his case is D+/R-, he was on Valcyte for 3 months and doctor advised him to stop. In Feb this year, he has fever and found out his CMV level was up to 200,000!!<br /><br />The put a PICC line in and give him IV 2-3 times a day for three weeks. Lately, his CMV level is back up again to 4,700. He has been on Valcyte since he was dicharged and he is taking 900mg per day.
